WE believe small groups are one of the best ways to find healing and support during a very difficult season of your life. In groups you find others that understand your pain and encourage you to walk out your healing with courage for your future legacy.
The women’s groups are formed when a leader is ready to start a group. A Free Ind33d leader will talk to any interested woman or man to hear if they are ready to join a group and commit to the requirements. We offer help and hope to those that are eager for their
Groups are small. Usually between 5-6 people with a leader that facilitates the material in the workbooks. The group requires completion of homework to participate, attending weekly meetings is a top priority and we ask that you focus on your healing over other demands. Each person is made aware of the guidelines to make sure they are committed to the 10-12 month process. It will be important to respect others by speaking only for yourself, avoiding giving advice, and allow others the time to formulate their answers and come to their conclusions.
Many people fear the stigma associated with sexual sin and the shame it brings to ourselves and our families. This is why it is imperative that what is shared in the groups stays in the groups. The only reasons for breaking a confidence is a threat to harm oneself or someone else. We sign a memorandum of understanding outlining what we are agreeing to do and for the very rare reasons we would break that confidence. People should expect to feel loved and accepted in our groups. The leaders know that the depth of the group is determined by their transparency and modeling.
You will have to agree and sign group guidelines as well as a memo of understanding in order for the groups to be safe for each person.
We love to see those who have gone through a group curriculum and have found great healing pay it forward by leading future groups to help others. Paying it forward helps in our journey as we willingly walk alongside others in their recovery.
We can positively influence the life of others in our group and the impact of our support will likely extend to their friends, families, as well as a generation of others.
WE ARE NOT COUNSELORS.
If you are looking for one on one time or counseling then you should contact a
licensed therapist. www.puredesire.org/counseling
WE ARE NOT OPEN GROUPS.
You cannot come and “check it out…” The groups are closed to foster safety and encourage
deep levels of sharing not usually experienced in other settings.
WE ARE NOT PAID PROFESSIONALS.
We are people who have found freedom in Jesus and believe in giving that away to others.
“Freely you have received now freely give…”. Matthew 10:5-8
WE ARE NOT A PLACE THAT YOU COME TO UNLOAD ALL OF YOUR EMOTIONS.
We offer men and women a safe environment, to be honest, AND we work a proven
curriculum that helps shape our minds in a positive direction.
WE ARE NOT A MAGIC BULLET.
But experience has shown that 95% of the people that show up prepared, by having done their work, find a significant measure of freedom in their lives over addictive behaviors.
